<p>Robert C. Field of Hatboro, PA, passed away on September 7, 2021 in Abington PA.</p> <p>Robert was born in Philadelphia to Ruth and Robert Field on November 17,1940. Robert was married to Fern McCullough Field for fifty wonderful years.&nbsp; They were wed on November 20, 1965.</p> <p>He graduated from Upper Dublin High School in 1958 and went on to Muhlenberg College where he earned a BS in Biology and Chemistry. He later received his MS in Educational Administration from Temple University.</p> <p>Robert worked in the School District of Upper Dublin for his entire career which spanned 36 years, 1965-2001. He was a science teacher from 1965-1973 at Upper Dublin Junior High School, moving into an Assistant Principal position. He then served as Principal at Fort Washington Elementary School, Three Tuns Junior High School, Sandy Run Middle School and Upper Dublin High School. He was awarded the Outstanding Educator of Montgomery County.</p> <p>Highlights of his career include Sandy Run Middle School (1983-1984) and Upper Dublin High School (1994-1996) each being awarded a National Blue Ribbon for Excellence by the US Department of Education as outstanding schools in America.</p> <p>Robert is survived by his children Bruce (Daphne) and Carolyn DeLong (Paul), four grandchildren, Ava, Layton, Ruth, and Wesley. He is also survived by his sister Virginia Field Vincent (Dave Johnson), niece Christine and nephew Peter. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Fern (McCullough) as well as his parents.</p> <p>Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 at Saint Matthews Episcopal Church, 919 Tennis Ave., Ambler PA.&nbsp; Funeral services will follow in the sanctuary at 11:00 am.</p> <p>Arrangements are by Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home.</p>
