<p>Adelaide (Figueiredo) Resendes, age 92 of Taunton, passed away on September 10, 2021.</p> <p>She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Resendes.</p> <p>Adelaide was born in Santa Maria, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose and Antonia (Cabral) Figueiredo.</p> <p>Before retiring, Mrs. Resendes was employed with the former Frank Noone Shoe company for many years. Adelaide enjoyed spending time with her family, she was a devoted mother, grand and great-grandmother as well as a devout Catholic.</p> <p>She is survived by her loving children; Tony Resendes and his wife Tina, Joseph Resendes and his wife Elizabeth and Rui Resendes all of Taunton, grandmother of Elizabeth, David, Kelly, Isaac, Karen, Kristine, Rui, Jr. and Jennifer, great-grandmother of Jack, Sophie, Robbie, Ella, Arya, Brielle, Lincoln, sister of Dennis Figueiredo of the Azores, Jose Maria Chaves of CT, Filomena Chaves and Maria Moura both of Taunton, she was also the sister of the late Antonio Figueiredo, Andonio DaSilva Chaves, Jose Chaves and the late Clotilde Figueiredo.</p> <p>Adelaide’s funeral services will be held privately with the Silva Funeral Home of Taunton, her burial will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery.</p> <p>For expressions of sympathy, to sign an online guestbook or to light a memorial candle, visit www.silvafuneralhome.com</p>Obituary
