<p>As beautiful as a rose to see, was her life she lived so gracefully.&nbsp; She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us.&nbsp; The petals of her life fell one by one; each a gift of her heart till there were none.&nbsp; Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end</p> <p>Carlotta Ann Howard Ross was born on October 1, 1955, in Oak Grove, Louisiana to her parents, Mattie Lee Howard and Henry James Waits.&nbsp; She was the first born in the family.&nbsp; She was raised surrounded by her brother, Jessie; and her sisters, Pamela and Lourens.&nbsp; As a child, she enjoyed playing basketball and gymnastics.&nbsp; She enjoyed singing and styling hair.</p> <p>The family eventually relocated to Denver, Colorado and she graduated from Manual High School.&nbsp; She furthered her education by attending Pennsylvania State University, where she earned an associate degree.</p> <p>On July 12, 1978, Carlotta married, Richard Ross in Denver, Colorado.&nbsp; They exchanged vows in the home of her mother. She was the proud mother of two beautiful children, Edward, and Leila.&nbsp; The family shared many happy and precious moments together.</p> <p>She was later blessed with nine grandchildren, Shavon, Anthony, Deemond, Greg, Isantae, Tynise, Isiera, Davionne, and Eyon who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life.&nbsp; They fondly remember her always giving them money and gifts.&nbsp; They all shared many happy and memorable moments together.</p> <p>Carlotta was a woman who was no stranger to hard work and diversity.&nbsp; She has been employed in the hospital as a LPN. She has worked for Caterpillar Industries as a Forklift Operator, the Armadillo Restaurant, and Saint Paul Nursing Home.&nbsp; Wherever employed, she was hard-working, dedicated, and dependable.&nbsp; She also earned a number of awards and certificates.</p> <p>A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, Carlotta was a member of Colorado Community Church in Aurora. She believed in the power of prayer and having the right relationship with the Lord.&nbsp; At the time of her passing, she had been a member for over five years.</p> <p>Carlotta was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled.&nbsp; In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, watching movies and televisions shows, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends.&nbsp; Her closest friends, Flox and Peggy will miss the many happy and precious moments they shared together.&nbsp; She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman.&nbsp; To know Carlotta was to love her.</p> <p>Carlotta Ann Howard-Ross departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on September 1, 2021, in Denver, Colorado.&nbsp; Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her mother, Mattie L. Jones of Aurora, CO; 1 son, Edward D. Howard of Dallas, TX; 1 daughter, Leila L. &ldquo;Peaches&rdquo; Howard (Robert W. Kersey) both of Denver, CO; 1 sister, Lourens G. Jones-Clardy of Denver, CO; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren;&nbsp; 1 niece, Fayth; 4 nephews, Little Jessie, Chaz, Stephan, Cody; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
