Jeffrey Bradley Obituary

Mr. Jeffrey Maddux Bradley, age 77 of Silver Point, died Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Services will be private and held at a later date. He was born June 23, 1944 in Hollywood, California to the late Louie M. and Nancy Sprecher Bradley. An accomplished athlete, Jeff was a star pitcher on the California High School state baseball championship team. He was drafted into professional baseball and played at the Minor League level. He was a graduate of Oregon State University and served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. His family moved to Tennessee in 1969 and later to Silver Point in 1974. He worked as a Bond Trader for First American (now Regions Bank) Bank and Merrill Lynch. Jeff was loving, generous and had a welcoming nature. The Bradley home was a gathering place and Jeff was like a second father to many of his children's friends. He enjoyed countless summer days with his family at Center Hill Lake. Although he grew up surfing in California and planned on returning, his greatest joy was spending time with his children and friends on the lake; and later sharing his love for the water with his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolynn. He is survived by his adoring family, his wife of 54 years, Candace Emigh Bradley; daughter, Lisa (Louis) Barrentine of Lebanon, TN; sons, David (Missy) Bradley of Franklin, TN and Jeff Bradley, Jr. of Silver Point; grandchildren, Riley and Laurel Barrentine and Meredith and Elizabeth Bradley. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to be made to The Fisher House Foundation (www.fisherhouse.org), the ARC of TN (www.thearctn.org) or your favorite charity. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111. Share memories and condolences at www.hhhfunerals.com.
