Beulah Marie Hoth Fairbanks, Alaska Obituary

Beulah Marie Hoth

Beulah Marie Hoth, 81 of Fairbanks, passed away on September 7th at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with family by her bedside. Beulah was a long time assistant pastor and later pastor at the Born Again Believers in Christ church in Fairbanks. She found her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in the mid 1970s and started a small prayer group with three of her friends in a small house off of College Road. A few years later, she met Jerry and Juanita Vinson who had recently moved their family up from California and they founded the Born Again Believers in Christ church in a house on Bonnie Ave and College Road. In the early 1980s, the church moved to their current location in Hamilton Acres on C Street and Trailor Gate Road. Beulah’s dedication to the faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ not only touched her immediate church community members in Fairbanks but all over Alaska, in parts of the lower 48 and even in Africa. She was sought by many people who wanted her to touch their hands and pray for them. Beulah was an outstanding mother and cornerstone to her family, a true mom’s mom in every way. She would never put anyone down and always tried to find the good in people, no matter their background. Whoever she came in contact with, she showed them love and caring for their wellbeing as a person. She wanted the best for everyone and always prayed for a good outcome. She is going to be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the church community. Beulah was born in Nenana Alaska to her single mother Natalie Siverly on December 17th, 1939. She attended schools in Mt Edgecumbe Boarding School and the Holy Cross Mission in Alaska. Later she moved to Fairbanks in the late 1950s, there she found work at Creams Dairy and as a waitress at the Co-Op Plaza. She married Allan Hoth on December 6th, 1969 in Fairbanks. Later she worked as a waitress at The Diner until she retired in the early 1990s. Beulah was preceded in death by her mother Natalie, brothers Roxy and Richard Siverly, sister Clara Jannson; daughter Veronica Chaffin and her longtime loving husband of 49 years Allan Hoth. Beulah is survived by her sons Joseph Arabie, William Arabie, and Robert Hoth; and numerous grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday September 10th at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home, 415 Illinois St, Fairbanks. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday September 11th at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Barney officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Northern Lights Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Chapel of Chimes. There will be a potlatch in honor of Beulah at the JP Jones Center from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Aaron Ludwig, Joseph Arabie, William Arabie, Robert Hoth, Ricky Taylor and Greg Taylor. Beulah’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Pastor Jeff Barney, Born Again Believers in Christ and our friends of the family who helped and assisted in the funeral ceremony and potlatch.
