Jose Trinidad Chavez

Jose Trinidad Chavez, 67, of Eloy, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 4, 2021. Jose was born on June 12, 1954 to Maria Elvira Ibarra- Varela and Elijio Chavez in Michoacán Mexico. Jose moved to California in 1971, determined to make a better life for his family. He moved to Eloy AZ. In 1976 where he met and married the loved of his life Maria J. Ortega. In 1995 after working many years as a Migrant farm worker. Jose opened his own business Chavez Auto in Eloy, he was one of the Best mechanics in town, and he greeted everyone with the most genuine smile and lots and lots of jokes. He enjoyed boxing and teaching his kids boxing. Jose retired in 2004 to take care of himself, his family and ENJOY the other loves of his life his grandchildren. Jose's family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned to everyone, his smile, his caring heart and contagious laugh will be missed by so many. Jose T. Chavez is preceded; father Eligio Chavez and brother Genaro Chavez. He is survived by, mother Maria Elvira Ibarra- Varela; wife Maria J. Chavez; sons Genaro Chavez, Jose Chavez and Rogelio Chavez of Eloy; daughter Maria Elvira Salazar, Eloy; 14 grandchildren, Nesta Salazar , Jazmine Salazar , Gabriella Salazar and Jesse Salazar Jr, Alissa Chavez, Mikela Shanley -Chavez, Genaro Chavez jr, Isaac Chavez, Romeo Chavez, Jiovanni Chavez , Rogelio Chavez Jr, Aliyah Hernandez, Jose (chepe) Chavez Jr, Renee Artiaga –Chavez; great Granddaughter Aliea Castle; brothers Elijio Chavez ,Santiago Chavez and Juan Chavez; sisters, Guadalupe Chavez Maria Elena Chavez and Jovita Chavez and Many Many nieces and nephews A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 5pm -7pm at Heritage Casa Grande Funeral Home. Funeral Mass at St. Helens of the Cross Saturday September 11, 2021, at 10 am.
