Herbert D. Robinson Obituary

Herbert D. Robinson, 90, passed away on September 7, 2021.  He was born July 3, 1931 in Braxton County, WV to the late James and Anna Robison.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War earning many medals.  When he retired from Firestone he owned and operated Donut Haven and was also a contractor for Goodwill Industries.  He was a Sunday School teacher for the Akron Baptist Temple for 10 years.  For 30 years, Herb and his wife were blessed to have provided foster care for adults with specific challenges.

Herb was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Regina M. Robinson; and 13 brothers and sisters.  He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Robinson; sons, Randy (Debra) Robinson, Bob Robinson; grandchildren, Mason, Devin, Makinsey and Marcella Robinson, Samantha Robinson, Matthew (Sam) Robinson, Jason Albright; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Gillespie; nieces, Joann Stalnaker, Theresa (Don) Albright; and close friends, Kristel Davis and Leigh Williams.

Friends may call at Bacher Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m., where services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
