Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 11:00 A.M at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point, for Roland “Phat” Citizen, Jr., 53, who passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 2:25 P.M. at University Hospital and Clinics in Lafayette. Family requested mask to be required at all times while visitation and services. Minister Torrey Walker from Nauville Church of Lafayette will be officiating for the services. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel. Survivors include his companion, Brandy Guillory of Lafayette; five brothers, Nicholas Citizen of Church Point, Edward and wife, Judith Citizen of Church Point, Jerome and wife, Michelle Citizen of Church Point, Scotty and wife, Michelle Citizen of Lafayette, Jeremy and wife, Veronica Citizen of Houston, TX; three sisters, Paula and husband, Kenneth Thierry of Lawtell, Hilda and husband, Peter Sheppard of Sunset, Carlisa Citizen of Church Point; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; three Godchildren, Kylan Meche, Shontrell Carriere, Sadonya Batiste of Church Point. Mr. Citizen was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly Citizen; his parents, Roland Citizen, Sr. and Freda S. Citizen; his paternal grandparents, Elus and Beatrice Citizen; his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Margaret Sennet.
