He was the son of the late Alphonso and Dora Beatrice Boyce Gibbs. He attended the Public Schools of Perquimans County North Carolina, Larry was a Cement Construction Worker and was a member of Enoch Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Va. He leaves to cherish his memory: Two Daughters, Clarissa Gibbs and Kera Gibbs both of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. One Son: Fontaine Gibbs of Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
