It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Baden Long of Ludlow, NB, at the young age of 95, on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home, Boiestown, NB. We are so grateful that he was under the care of the amazing staff of the Nursing Home and that he recognized his family as he passed peacefully. Born on August 24th, 1926, he was the son of the late Milton and Carrie (Clark) Long. Baden is survived by his loving wife Mavis (Price), his daughters, Shawna (Trevor) Morehouse of Storeytown, Brenda (Ted) O’Donnell of McNamee and Bernice Price of Porter Cove. He was predeceased by his father and mother; brothers, Ora, Aubrey, Maurice, Reginald; and sister, Verna MacDonald. Grampy Baden was really proud of his grandchildren and their families, Rachel (Luke), Tyler, Jesse, Megan (Jody), Rocky (Nickey), Kyle (Elizabeth), Shane (Jillian). His face would light up when he talked about their accomplishments, when he took them out to show off his garden, or for a walk across the bridge road. He loved sharing his hobbies with his great grandchildren, showing the model airplanes that he built to Claire, Ryan, and Alex, as well as, having a tea party with Gracelynn. A Celebration of Life Gathering, for family and friends, will be held at York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 2 pm. Interment will be in McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery, Porter Cove, NB. Pallbearers are Rocky Price, Kyle Price, Shane Price, Jody Watson, Trevor Morehouse, Ted O’Donnell. Honorary Pallbearers are his care givers, Louise Long, Rhoda Munn, and Rebekah Stewart (special sister-in-law). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Central NB Nursing Home Van Fund, the Central NB Woodmen’s Museum, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
