Delcambre - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre for Kimball John Duplantis, 43, who passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 10:15 am. A rosary, led by Deacon Russell Hayes, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Thursday. A resident of New Iberia, Kimball John Duplantis was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on July 1, 1978, and was a 1996 graduate of Delcambre High School. He worked as Store Manager for O'Reilly's Auto Parts in New Iberia, and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Kimball was a collector of Transformers, and he loved to paint, draw, eat, and play his guitar and video games. He was a loving husband, son, brother and friend, and will be deeply missed. Mr. Duplantis is survived by his loving wife of nearly 14 years, Mindy Gary Duplantis; mother, Peggy Duplantis of New Iberia, LA; twin brother, Kendall John Duplantis (wife Crystal) of Abbeville;a sister, Joni Lynn Duplantis; sister-in-law, Carmelite Leach (husband Lowell) of Abbeville; brother-in-law, Joey Gary of New Iberia; in-laws, Joseph Gary Sr. and Mary Elaine Gary of Abbeville; and nieces and nephews, Erica Duplantis, Emma Duplantis, Alix Duplantis, Zodah Leach, Zedekiah Leach, Andie Gary, Lanie Gary and Amber Gary. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest John Duplantis; a nephew, Matthew Gary; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Gary. Pallbearers will be Joey Gary, Joey David, Jeremy Castille, Kendall Duplantis, Zodah Leach, and Zedekiah Leach. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Rogers, Kyle Vincent, Wade Choate, Mike Perez, Joseph Gary, Sr., and Lowell Leach.
