<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mr. Graham Ellis &lsquo;Baye&rsquo; Allen, was born October 23, 1934, in the Tally Ho Township of Granville County to the parentage of Mary Jane Waller and Graham Allen.</p> <p>He was educated in the Granville County School System where he attended Mary Potter High School.</p> <p>&ldquo;Baye&rdquo; as he was affectionately called joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he attended faithfully until the decline in his health.</p> <p>He was employed for a short time at JFD Industries then he became employed with the State of North Carolina Farming Industry while continued to run the family farm with his father. (Due to the injustices to black farmers by the Federal Banks, &ldquo;Baye&rdquo; and other black farmers were awarded restitution and he was able to maintain and keep his father&rsquo;s farm and land in his family.) After thirty-one years of service, he retired from what he loved to call &ldquo;The Experiment Farm&rdquo;.</p> <p>Graham was united in holy matrimony to the late Hallie Thornton and to that union they had two daughters, Anice and Beverley.</p> <p>He leaves to cherish so many memories by his two daughters, Anice D. Allen- Hickenbottom (Sammy Jr.) and Beverley Faye Allen Floyd (A.R. Shakey); one special nephew/son, Lambert Kent Allen of Oxford, NC.; two grandchildren, Keith Tyrone Allen of Reidsville, NC and Tia Andre&rsquo;a Floyd of Oxford, NC; two great grandchildren, Amir Allen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Jordan Forbes-Allen of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his siblings, Alfred Allen, Tassie Harris and Juanita Allen-Goode.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;</p>

Mr. Graham Ellis ‘Baye’ Allen, was born October 23, 1934, in the Tally Ho Township of Granville County to the parentage of Mary Jane Waller and Graham Allen.

He was educated in the Granville County School System where he attended Mary Potter High School.

“Baye” as he was affectionately called joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he attended faithfully until the decline in his health.
