Melinda De La Rosa

<p>Melinda De La Rosa passed away on August 31, 2021, at the age of 61. She was born in Bishop, Texas on April 10, 1960, to Ramon and Hortencia Ortega. Melinda was a beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She was a devoted employee for Armark at Bishop CISD for 20 years, where she worked along side many wonderful women who became family. On her free time, she enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, as well as attending motorcycle rallies throughout the state of Texas. She also enjoyed cooking and playing bingo, but most of all family time was most important to her. They were her everything.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Ortega and Hortencia Ortega.</p> <p>Among those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Eloy De La Rosa; sons, Steve De La Rosa, Jacob De La Rosa, Eloy De La Rosa; daughters, Dina De La Rosa, Valerie De La Rosa; brother, Raymond Ortega; 10 grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.</p> <p>Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with the holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A chapel liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.</p> <p>Services are in the care of Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Tx 78363.</p>

Obituary
