<p>Matthew Cotton Porter, 43, passed away in Zambia, Africa on July 26, 2021. &nbsp;He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 31, 1977 to Will and Janice Porter. &nbsp;He was a loving son, husband and father. &nbsp;<br /> He loved his family and friends with a passion. &nbsp;He also loved to entertain and cook for everyone he knew. &nbsp;He loved hunting and fishing with family and friends. &nbsp;<br /> He worked in the oil and gas industry in Israel and Africa. &nbsp;<br /> He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Porter, Pete and Maxine Thyssen and father-in -law, Bill York. &nbsp;<br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife, Ashlyn York Porter, his children, Evelyn Belle and William Gage Porter and step daughter Emma Blair Kay. &nbsp;He is also survived by his parents, Will and Janice Porter, his brother, William Ryan Porter and grandmother, Marydele Porter. &nbsp;He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.<br /> &nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Matthew Cotton Porter, 43, passed away in Zambia, Africa on July 26, 2021.  He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 31, 1977 to Will and Janice Porter.  He was a loving son, husband and father.  
He loved his family and friends with a passion.  He also loved to entertain and cook for everyone he knew.  He loved hunting and fishing with family and friends.  
He worked in the oil and gas industry in Israel and Africa.  
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Porter, Pete and Maxine Thyssen and father-in -law, Bill York.  

He is survived by his wife, Ashlyn York Porter, his children, Evelyn Belle and William Gage Porter and step daughter Emma Blair Kay.  He is also survived by his parents, Will and Janice Porter, his brother, William Ryan Porter and grandmother, Marydele Porter.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
