Robert Bob Woodhams

Robert (Bob) Woodhams, 85 passed away August 26, 2021 at his home in Williston. A private family service will be held in Williston, ND. Robert (Bob) Woodhams was born March 17, 1936 in Williston, ND. Bob was the first of three children born to Albert and Emily Woodhams. He grew up in Williston and graduated from Williston High School. After graduation he married Mary Lou Morrison on June 12, 1955. Together they had five children. Bob worked several jobs before choosing masonry as his career. During his masonry career, he got his Pilots License so he could fly himself and his crew to different out of state job sites. Bob built many buildings around the area, some of which include the Williston High School, Junior High, several Churches and fireplaces in the Williston area. One of the things he told his kids was that he placed a dime on the 6th course of bricks on the southwest corner of the JcPenny building. The dime was dated the same year as the JcPenny building was built. After many years of working in Williston, he moved his family to Hawaii where he built many shopping centers. After five and a half years in Hawaii, he moved his family back to Williston where he spent time working, fishing and hunting. Bob enjoyed camping with his family. Bob worked hard during the week, but kept all weekends for family time. Later in life, he and Mary Lou divorced. Bob then moved to Arizona where he continued in Masonry and was later joined by his son, Dean. The two of them enjoyed happy hour at 4:00 for many years. Bob continued to live in Arizona where he met and married Martha Krueger. They lived in Arizona until her passing. Bob moved back to Williston in 2017, where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Club. Bob is survived by his son, David (Rhonda) Woodhams of Williston, ND, Kathy Naasz, Worland, WY, Rae Ann (Dickson) Schaan, Williston, ND, Deanne (Dean) Bottenhagen, Billing, MT, and Dean (Sherri) Woodhams, Sierra Vista, AZ; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and his sisters, Priscilla and Karen. Bob was preceded in death by his father Albert and mother Emily, his son-in-law, Mark Naasz and his sister Jolane.
