Freida Mae Soyring

<p>Freida Mae Schoning Soyring passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2021 at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN.</p> <p>Freida was born to Edna Jane Norman and Christopher Lind Schoning on May 18th, 1930, in Decatur Illinois. &nbsp;She spent her early years there before meeting Eino Soyring. &nbsp;They married on August 15th, 1946, in Dixson, IL, and moved around from Burgess IL, Viola IL, and Reno NV, before settling in Burgess, IL. &nbsp;Together they had five children: Patty, Fred, Darwin, Harold, and Sally. &nbsp;</p> <p>Freida and Eino divorced and on June 28th, 1962, Freida was married to Raymond Soyring. &nbsp;Together they had four children: Pamela, Raymond Jr, Brian, and Kevin, and resided in Ogema, MN.</p> <p>Freida belonged to the Red Hats, Mennonite sewing circle, and volunteered at Emmanuel Nursing Home. &nbsp;She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. &nbsp;She was an extremely accomplished seamstress, she loved to make dresses and anything else asked of her. &nbsp;She enjoyed making beautiful dolls and painting ceramics. &nbsp;She will be most remembered for her love of flowers. &nbsp;The more flowers the better. &nbsp;Her two favorite colors were pink and purple. &nbsp;Her nickname was &ldquo;Babe&rdquo; and her famous word was &ldquo;Whatchamacallit.&rdquo; &nbsp;She will be deeply missed by so many.</p> <p>Freida is survived by her children, Darwin (Carma) Soyring of Ogema, MN, Harold Sr. (Darlene) Soyring of Hawley, MN, Sally (Ron) Urias of Newton, IA, Pamela (Matt) Jones of Detroit Lakes, MN, Brian (Karla) Soyring of Ogema, MN, Kevin (Angela) Soyring of Callaway, MN. Those privileged to call her Grandma include twenty-five grandchildren, forty-six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. &nbsp;She is also survived by her sister, Jayne Wright Allison of Paxico, MO, and daughter-in-law, Luanne Lottino of Ogema, MN.</p> <p>Freida was preceded in death by her two husbands Eino Soyring and Raymond Soyring, Daughter Patricia Hopper, Sons Fred Soyring and Raymond Jr Soyring, Grandsons Harold Jr Soyring and Jonathon Soyring.</p> <p>The family of Freida Soyring would like to thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.</p> <p>Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 27th. &nbsp;Visitation will continue Saturday, August 28th from 12:00-1:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. &nbsp;All held at Jesus Is Real Church, Detroit Lakes, MN. &nbsp;Interment will be at Aura Cemetery, Callaway, MN.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>TO SEND FLOWERS FOR THE&nbsp;SERVICE, PLEASE CALL LOCAL FLORIST DIRECTLY:</p> <p>DETROIT LAKES FLORAL (218) 844-5860 or CENTRAL FLORAL (218) 844-3664</p>

Freida Mae Schoning Soyring passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2021 at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN.
