Margaret Evans

Margaret Evans, 63, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 following a short illness. Margaret was born July 1, 1958 to the late John and Ethel Maude Garrett. A native of Alpharetta, she has lived in Dawson County for the past 45 years. She was employed as a nutritionist at North Forsyth High School. A member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, she enjoyed singing, playing piano, gardening, and visiting churches. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Jacky Evans and her son, Roger Garrett. Surviving are her children, Kelly and Crystal Evans, Ellijay, Tracie Evans, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Harmony Evans, Joshua Evans, Corbin Evans, Kelsey Evans; brother and sister in law, Wayne and Carol Garrett, Cumming; sisters and brothers in law, Edith Woodruff, Cumming, Wyndell Garrett, Roswell, Shirley and Charles Gallimore, Cumming, Barbara Tucker, Lithia Springs, Beverly and Larry Lawson, Ellijay; special companion, J. B. Ingram, Cumming; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday August 27, 2021 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rodney Pilcher, Rev. Mark Akins, and Rev. Tim Hubbard will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell at 1:30. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone be mindful of COVID-19 and respectfully requests everyone to wear a mask. Condolences may be expressed at www.beardenfuneralhome.com. She was such a sweet lady always eager to help around the church . She welcomed me and my family while we were there at Sweet Water, praying for the family . I can hear her now saying Heaven was worth the wait
