James Douglas McMillen Jr., 55, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 2021. He was born in Toledo on May 31, 1966 to James Douglas McMillen Sr. and June Irene (Frye) McMillen. Jim lived in many different states in the U.S. growing up, but ultimately came back to Toledo to stay. He was a Cement Mason for many years with Local #886 and he was talented in the concrete world. Jim was always a soft touch when it came to children and animals, especially his own, but he loved them all. A force of nature, everyone who knew him understood that once you penetrated the tough outer layer that was Jim, he was a big softie and always willing to forgive and help. He will be missed by many. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Sr. He is survived by his mother, June; wife, Traci L. (Cole) McMillen; and his sons, Justin Earl Sharp, James David (Riddler) McMillen, Daniel Jarred (Dew) McMillen, and his bonus son, Marquis Lavelle Kimble. He is also survived by his only sibling and brother, Jarred Douglas (JD) McMillen and sister-in-law, Diane (sis) McMillen, along with many nieces and nephews. The immediate family will have a small and private celebration of life. Any donations in his honor should go to The Toledo Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
