Obituary

Hazel Leigh Roy, the beautiful, loving 4 year old daughter of Peter and Charlene (Snyder) Roy died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 as a result of a tragic accident.

Hazel was a beautiful spirit, who’s soul lit up a room, her call to family and friends sounded like a song. Intelligent beyond her years, she easily learned new tasks, her kind heart drew people to her.  She loved to watch Frozen and Peppa Pig, and even perfected Peppa's accent. She could swing for hours and was so proud of her newfound ability to “pump” and swing for herself.  She enjoyed fishing with her dad and snuggling with her mom. She was a gracious dancer and she loved to be silly. She enjoyed chasing butterflies, but didn’t enjoy them chasing her. She couldn’t resist the mac and cheese from The Homestead or the rice from Celito. Hazel was a proud big sister, and loved to help out when needed. She wanted to wear a nightgown, morning, noon & night and always had her favorite doll, Sister Rosie in tow. She was beautiful in every way. Hazel was the perfect example of Love, Life & Joy and her death will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she leaves a sister Elodie Roy; grandparents: Eric & Cheryl (DesRoche) Levesque of Concord; Richard Roy and Shari Nelson of Hooksett; Annette Snyder & Jim Magee of Bow; great grandparents: Peter & Paula DesRoche of Methuen, MA; aunts & uncles: Samantha Roy & David Lombard Jr. of Pembroke; Janice & Shane Snyder of Londonderry; Daniel & Jen Snyder of Manchester; Nicole & James Witham of Nottingham; and cousins Isabella Snyder, Ali Rynasko, Tyler & Silas Witham.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2pm at Homeland Cemetery, Pleasant St., Bristol.  In an effort to memorialize Hazel’s life in a living legacy, please consider a donation in lieu of flowers through the donations tab at the top of the page.  Monies will be used to fund playground equipment within the community in her name.
