Cheryl Joann Croy of Phoenix, Oregon passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Rogue Regional Medical Center. She was born January 15, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Mavis Sheely. She married Ronald G. Croy August 7, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They shared 46 years together, most of them in Southern Oregon. Cheryl had a love for penguins, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks. She is survived by spouse, Ronald; two sons, Ronnie and Jonnie; one daughter, Tabitha; two daughters-in-law, Dean-A and Sheri; two grandchildren, Huntyr and Paityn; five step-grandchildren, Audrey, Emily, Zachary, Brandon, and Jazmine; mother, Mavis; nine sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cheryl was known to many more as Mom and Nana. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanna; daughter-in-law, Jessica; father, Francis; sister, Janet; and brother, John. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Jackson County in Cheryl's name to honor her involvement for many years.
