Rosa Maria Pineda
Rosa Maria Pineda, 64, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family, Thursday, December 10, 2015. Rosa was born in Torreon, Mexico and had been a resident of Monterey County for over 45 years. In her youth she worked in nursing, after immigrating to the US she worked for Associate Produce in Castroville, United Technology Chemical Systems and Pratt & Whitney in San Jose, as a technician engineer. She was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Castroville, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Guadalupana Society and San Pablo de Colores. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, traveling, gardening and tending to her roses, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Concepcion Pineda; 4 children; Alfredo Pineda, Connie Pineda, Laura Pineda, Rosa (Manuel) Alonzo; 8 grandchildren, Daniel Pineda, Saramia Jordan, Michael Pineda, Manuel Alonzo III, Anthony Jordan, Nicolas Jordan, Miguel Alonzo, Luke Bermea; brother, Carlos Monsivias, sister, Teresa Monsivias. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Juventino Campos & Esperanza Castillo, step father, Tereso Monsivias; brothers, Luis & Alfredo Monsivias. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm at Woodyard Funeral Home, followed with rosary at 7 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held, Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10 am at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Chruch, 235 Main St, Soledad.
