<p><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><em><strong>Elaine Marie "MeMe" Smith</strong></em>, 73, a native of Orleans Parish and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully at 5:38 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road in Houma, LA. <strong>Per CDC/local regulations everyone is required to wear face masks in building at all times. </strong>Burial will follow in Crescent Farm Cemetery.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">She is survived by her sons, Vincent Lewis and Aaron Michael Smith; daughter, Shayna Smith-Williams (Pastor Ronnie); three grandchildren; sisters, Wilderette "Cookiee" Smith and Edwina Loretta Meyers; and a host of other relatives and friends.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">She was preceded in death by her parents, Williams and Juanita Jackson Smith; aunt, Eloise Jackson and nephew, Ronnell Smith.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:24px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.</span></span></p>Obituary
