<p style="text-align: justify;">Donald H. Ekre, 87 of Enderlin, North Dakota passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Eventide Sheyenne Crossing Care Center, West Fargo, North Dakota.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Don was born on October 16, 1933, the son of Henry and Edna (Lohr) Ekre in Enderlin, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Enderlin, graduating from High School in 1951. Don served in the North Dakota National Guard for eight years. He started working at a young age with his dad, Henry in the family business Ekre House Moving. Don took over ownership of the business in 1982 and continued to operate until retiring in 2010.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Don enjoyed auto racing of any kind and watching college football, especially the NDSU Bison. He also enjoyed working on his cars and trucks. Having spent his entire life in Enderlin he would spend hours talking about the history of the town. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Don cherished time spent with his grandchildren.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn of West Fargo, ND; daughter, Sara Ekre of Enderlin, ND; sons, Blaine (Jayne) Ekre of Otsego, MN; Bradley (Kim) Ekre of Gilbert, AZ; Brent (Libby) Ekre of Phoenix, AZ; Blair (Brenda) Ekre of Queen Creek, AZ; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lou Frigen of Jamestown, ND.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Don was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Lee Frigen.</p>
