Helene C Grande

Helene C. Grande was born June 12, 1904 to Pierce and Helen Jones in Billings MT. She passed away on July 28, 2021 in Billings MT.

Helene spent her growing up years on the ranch on Clear Creek. She attended the local schools and graduated from Red Lodge High School in 1958. Upon graduating, Helene moved to Billings to work where she met her husband Tom and they got married in 1961. Their first of two daughters was born soon after and they named her Laura. In 1966 a second daughter was born whom they named Marie. A few years later in 1971, the family moved to Pryor Creek where they stayed until 1984. The family decided at this time to move their house and the kids to West Billings where they stayed to the end of their lives.

Tragedy struck the Jones family in 1989 when husband Tom lost his battle with cancer. Helene stayed in the home and continued to work changing careers to become a laundry attendant at Billings Health and Rehab until her retirement in 2017.

Helene is preceded in death by her parents Pierce and Helen and husband Tom. She is survived by her daughters Laura of Rapelje and Marie of Red Lodge. She also leaves behind grandsons Paul of Billings and Michael (Mei Yee Luk) of Billings and Casey of Laurel. She also has one great grandchild Archie. She is also survived by the son she never had, Michael Croft of Rapelje.
