Richard Thomas Dupre

Richard Thomas Dupre, 77, a native and resident of Chauvin, passed away on August 2, 2021. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9am to 11am, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Gawlik Dupre; children, Rodney Dupre (Cynthia), Tommy Dupre (Rhonda), Troy Dupre (Kristi), Donna Melancon (Christopher), Terri Picou (Gregory); grandchildren, Trey, Destiny, Chase, Tommy Jr., Courtney, Natalie, Logan, Madison, Jenna, Tyler, and Corrin; great grandchildren, Blaise, Aubree, Isaac, Grayson, Roman, Iris, Brooks, and Brandt; sisters, Judy Rhodes and Sandra White. He was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Dupre; parents, Gibbet Dupre and Leona Authement Dupre; and brother, Larry Dupre Sr. Richard enjoyed fishing, trawling, hunting, and gardening. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
