Eva L. Richardson Denver, Colorado Obituary

Eva L. Richardson

Eva Loretha Richardson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 11, 1941. She grew up during the segregation era and riots in the south. In spite of all this she blossomed and grew, doing very well in school, winning the distinction of, Girl of the Year in 9th grade. She was a debutante and graduated from high school at the tender age of 15. Eva went on to nursing school in Alabama on a scholarship from church. After she finished nursing school Eva joined the U.S. Army. During her military career she traveled to Japan, Korea and Germany, among others. She came to Colorado where she served at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital as a critical care nurse treating Vietnam Veterans. Eva was a devoted mother to her only child Kenneth Darrell Richardson. I Never Saw Your Wings How is it that I never saw your wings when you were here with me? When you closed your eyes and soared to the Heavens I could hear the faint flutter of you wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side your spirit here eternally I see your halo shine. I close my eyes and see the multi-colored wings surround me in my saddest moments and my happiest times. Mother my angel God has given you your assignment always my mother forever my angel. You fly into my dreams and when I am asleep I feel your wings brush against my face wiping away the tears I shed since I can no longer hold you in my arms but in my heart. You earned those wings dear mother and you will always be me angel eternal. By an Unknown Author Funeral Home: Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary 2101 Marion Street Denver, CO US 80205
