ALCOLU – Betty Jean Moore Barwick, 82, widow of Francis M. Barwick, died Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her residence. Born April 17, 1939, in Olanta, she was a daughter of the late Horacious Talvertis Moore and the late Ruby Floyd Moore. She was a member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church where she was a member of WIC. She is survived by a son, Bobby J. Barwick of Alcolu; special niece, Jackie Stiffel of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend, Peggy DuRant of Alcolu. The family would like to thank Beth Evans for her love and care for Mrs. Barwick during her illness. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Trinity Cemetery with the Rev. David Sanders officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders of New Harmony Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the graveside.
