Please help us celebrate the life of Marvin Gail Hosler Sr.
Marvin died at the age of 81 years and 32 days at home in Woodward, Ok. Surrounded by family.
Born in Beaver County, Oklahoma; his parents, Arthur and Evelyn Winfough Hosler, raised him and his older brother, Merle and his younger sister, Lavonda, on a farm outside of Slapout, Oklahoma.
He married his soul mate Martha Snow from Buffalo, Ok on May 29, 1957, and they spent 64 years together. Together they raised their children; Bonita, Teresa and Marvin Gail, Jr., better know as Pete. They lived in Oklahoma, Kansas and the Houston, Texas area; before settling in Woodward, Oklahoma in 1992. For a time between 1978 and 1984 they owned and operated the Clothes Care Center and Woodward Laundry, in Woodward.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, baby sister Martha, brother Merle and wife Colleen, brother in law Lewis Snow and wife Romana, Edgar Snow and wife VernaJean, and George Snow his sister in law Evelyn Page, Nelson, and husband Bob, Susie Harrison and husband Ray, Eva Brooks and brother in law Charles Meliza
He is survived by his wife Martha, his children Bonita, Teresa, and Pete; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his sister Lavonda Rutman of Woodward, sister in law Gloria Meliza of Florida, Dorothy Treat of Ft Supply, and Junita Snow; and many nieces and nephews
His children : Bonita lives in Waco, Texas with her husband, Todd Cox., Her 4 Children: Marcie and her husband, Beau have three children; Carter, Isabella and Abbey. Marcus who is in Special Forces has three children; Gage, Grace and Willow with his wife, Steph. Matt has four children Sean, Kamara, Temperance, and Aurora, and three stepchildren, Kasey Jr, Liam and Kaden. Matt lives in Woodward with his special friend Dana. Henry lives with his wife, Krystal in Mannford, Oklahoma.
Teresa and her husband, Scott live in Dayton, Texas. Their daughter Kristi and her husband, Randy have two children, MacKynzie and Jaxon. Kim is going to college in Stephensville, Texas.
Pete lives in Livingston, Texas, with his Special friend Shelley. His daughters live in Houston, Texas; Amber has a daughter, Piper, and Taylor has a daughter, Leila and Zach is a fire fighter in Conroe, Texas.
Marvin was a truck driver at heart and spent most of his life behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler traveling coast to coast. His cb handle was "Hoss" and he was "just eastbound and down". For 18. months Martha drove and traveled with him. His favorite pastime was fishing and he did so every chance he got. Martha enjoyed taking him on trips and cruises, which she did every chance she got.
We all have many happy memories of spending time with Grandma and Papa.
