<p>Rumney, NH</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Lorna A. Hemeon, 81, of Mill Road passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her home following a long illness.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Born on October 23, 1939 in Franklin, NH, she was the daughter of John and Arlene B. (Young) Durgin.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Lorna grew up in Franklin and was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School where she was a majorette in the school band.&nbsp; In 1958, she married John Hemeon and they raised their family in Rumney, NH. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a devoted homemaker and her passion was spending time with family and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Along with her husband John, she enjoyed travelling and they spent the last 20 winters in Largo, FL.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She leaves her husband John; daughters: Teri (Bo) Svenson (Bella), Lynn (Rick) Sutherland and Brenda (David) Poitras; grandchildren: Reann (Robin) Svenson-Allen, Jeremy Poitras, Nate Poitras, Lyndsey Sutherland and Erika Sutherland; great-grandchildren: Elizebeth, Benjamin, Rylee, Jorden, Lilly, and Leif; a sister Ellen Upton as well as several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:00am Saturday, August 7 at Rumney Baptist Church,&nbsp; 375 Main Street, Rumney, NH. Rev. Seth Powers will officiate. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private at Pleasant View Cemetery in Rumney.</p>

Lorna A. Hemeon, 81, of Mill Road passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at her home following a long illness.

 

Born on October 23, 1939 in Franklin, NH, she was the daughter of John and Arlene B. (Young) Durgin.

 

Lorna grew up in Franklin and was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School where she was a majorette in the school band.  In 1958, she married John Hemeon and they raised their family in Rumney, NH. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage.

 

She was a devoted homemaker and her passion was spending time with family and friends.

 

Along with her husband John, she enjoyed travelling and they spent the last 20 winters in Largo, FL.
