Nancy Lee( Schlosser) Connell aged 76 passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on July 28, 2021. Nancy lived and worked in Newark, DE her entire life. Nancy was a long time member of Ebenezer UMC in Newark. She served on several committees including the board of trustees, and was instrumental in implementing the Safe Sanctuaries Program at EUMC. In more recent years she attended Landenberg UMC She was a graduate of John Dickinson High School in 1963 Nancy had a passion for reading, particularly WWII history. She also loved spending time in the garden and feeding the birds. She enjoyed all types of music and would attend concerts at the Wilmington Music School. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald E. Connell also of Newark DE. She is also survived by D.Joanne Schlosser; sisters Paulette (& Bob) Ridgely, Kathryn Moore, Garnet (& Steve) Dennis, and Sheila Papa; step children Kimberly Nieves, Timothy Connell, Linda Walden & Sanya Connell and many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren & friends. Nancy was predeceased by her mother Pauline H. Wilbert, her father Paul L Schlosser, Sr as well as her brother Paul L. Schlosser, Jr. Nancy’s dog, Harley was her loving loyal companion for 12 years. Nancy missed him so much after he passed in July of 2020. Memorial service to be held at Ebenezer UMC 525 Polly Drummond Rd, Newark, DE 19711 on August 6, 2021 at 11:00am.
