<p>Fayetteville, NC&hellip;Albert &ldquo;Skip&rdquo; Merritt &nbsp;Stehler,Jr., age 68, passed away &nbsp;Wednesday, July 28, 2021 Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.</p> <p>Skip&nbsp; &nbsp;was born in Louisville, KY., a son of the late Albert Merritt Stehler, Sr. and Jeanette Olivia Jones Stehler.&nbsp;Skip was a huge Nascar fan, loved all types of music, enjoyed fishing when he was younger, loved to travel when he was able. To his family and friends he was best known for his vivid and colorful story telling of his own life experiences as well as hours of deep, meaningful&nbsp;and controversial conversations of current and past events mixed with humor and laughter. He will be missed by all who knew him.</p> <p>Skip was pre-deceased by a brother: David.</p> <p>Surviving are his daughter:&nbsp; Teslie Stehler; &nbsp;grandchild: Tagan Ono;&nbsp; one brother: &nbsp;Ronald Stehler;&nbsp; two sisters: &nbsp;Shirley Rich and Jeannie Stehler Inman and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>A memorial service will be held at a later time.</p> <p>Burroughs Funeral Home (843-651-1440) of Murrells Inlet is assisting the family.</p>

Fayetteville, NC…Albert “Skip” Merritt  Stehler,Jr., age 68, passed away  Wednesday, July 28, 2021 Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Skip   was born in Louisville, KY., a son of the late Albert Merritt Stehler, Sr. and Jeanette Olivia Jones Stehler. Skip was a huge Nascar fan, loved all types of music, enjoyed fishing when he was younger, loved to travel when he was able. To his family and friends he was best known for his vivid and colorful story telling of his own life experiences as well as hours of deep, meaningful and controversial conversations of current and past events mixed with humor and laughter. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Skip was pre-deceased by a brother: David.

Surviving are his daughter:  Teslie Stehler;  grandchild: Tagan Ono;  one brother:  Ronald Stehler;  two sisters:  Shirley Rich and Jeannie Stehler Inman and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
