Kay Carolyn (Riggins) Dixon Obituary

Kay Carolyn (Riggins) Dixon, 77, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at North River Health Campus. Kay was born in Montgomery County, Tennessee on September 22, 1943, to Clifton and Delia (Foster) Riggins. She was a graduate of Castle High School and retired from Macy's after 27 years as a sales clerk. Kay attended Crossroads Christian Church. She was a sports enthusiast and attended University of Southern Indiana basketball games. Kay enjoyed shopping, visiting the Smoky Mountains, and was a world class cook. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their events. Kay is survived by her husband of 58 years, Loren Dixon of Evansville, IN; sons, Todd Dixon (Stacy) of Evansville, IN and Tommy Dixon (Ann) of Haubstadt, IN; mother, Delia (Foster) Riggins of Evansville, IN; sister, Susan Dassel (Daryl) of Evansville, IN; brothers, Clifton Riggins (Becky) of Evansville, IN and William Riggins (Elaine) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Sydney Dixon, Megan Dixon, and Jonathan Dixon; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Kay was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Riggins. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until service time on Monday at Browning Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Evansville Salvation Army, 1040 N. Fulton Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
