Rose S. Govero, Springfield, MO, formerly of Festus, MO, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021. Rose was born March 31, 1927, to parents Fred and Winifred Speidel. Rose worked alongside her husband for years in the family business, Govero Oil Company. Rose was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Fetus, then St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton of Springfield. Rose was preceded in her death by her parents and her husband, Willard P. Govero who passed in April of 2010. Also preceded in death by step-father, Ben Hanson, Brothers Donnell (Thelma) Speidel, Fetus, MO, William Speidel, Phoenix, AZ, Sisters, Mary (Roy) Binsbacher, Overland, MO, Dorothy (Jim) Mullins, Farmington, MO, and a nephew, Kevin Speidel, Fetus, MO. She is survived by one Sister-In-Law, Sylvesta Werner of Belthalto, IL, Children; Robert (Karen) Govero, Monford, TN, Beverly (Ron) Teague, Portage IN, David (Raina) Govero, Springfield, MO, Steven (Susan) Govero. Grandchildren; Matt, Heather, Amy, Adam, Josh, Jacob, Ryan, Jason, Amanda, and Kyle. And Great Grandchildren; Miranda, Jenni, Riley, Alex, Nataleigh, Luke, Wyatt, Hannah, Quinton, Tyler, and Adelaide. She enjoyed reading, watching her kids and grandkids at sport events and their other relatives, margeritas, and her roses and irises She loved going to her brother and sisters in Arizona. While she will be missed dearly we are happy that now she is at peace. Care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton, Springfield, MO at 10:00 AM with a funeral mass following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial at 1:00 PM following the service at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jacobs Ladder Hospice House, Springfield, MO.
