Rev. William Michael Ogle

Reverend William Michael Ogle, Sr., 73 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. Mike is survived by his wife Joyce Ogle. He worked at TVA before attending Lee College where he graduated with a Pastoral degree. In his 44 years of ministry, he served many churches. He was an ordained pastor in the Church of God and Holston Conference of United Methodist Churches in Tennessee. Mike served in the National Guard for six years. Family was very important to him, and he loved them dearly. He was a big Tennessee Vols fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Mike is also survived by sons Mike Ogle (Angie), Tim Ogle (Kristy), Jamey Sheridan, daughters Kelley DiCesare (Jim), LaDonna Pesek, two sisters Nancy Patterson, Susan Patton (Poncho) and one niece Stacy Fouts (Alex). Thirteen grandchildren: Haley Tilley (Justin), Mary Beth Spencer (Hunter), Emily Ogle, Chris Allen Ogle, Josh Garner, Madi Garner, Derek DiCesare, Ryan DiCesare, Justin DiCesare, Jordan Pesek, Justin Womack (Manda), Will Sheridan and Ian Sheridan. Seven great grandchildren: Jackson Tilley, Hattie Tilley, Josie Tilley, Fletcher Spencer, Leighton Spencer, Easton Womack and Addison Womack. Mike was preceded in death by his parents William Albert and Mary Elizabeth Carter Ogle, his first wife Judy Ogle, two brothers Robert Ogle, David Ogle, sister Ruth Marie Ogle, brother-in-law Wit Patterson, son-in-law Nathan Garner and great granddaughter Maisie Jane Spencer. Visitation will be Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 12:00-2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church on North Ocoee Street in Cleveland, with celebration of life following at 2:00 pm. Pastors Steve Brown, Steve Parker and Mickey Rainwater will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Holston Home United Methodist Home for Children.
