Ronald Morlon (Shaft) Santiago, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the age of 65. Ronald was the loving and devoted husband of Carla Hodges Santiago for 45 years, the father of Rhonda Monique (Chris) and Ronald Santiago, Jr. (Brandi), Veronica S. Demolle (Tyrell, Sr.), Anthony Hodges and the late Danette Marie Hodges. He was the son of the late Ethel Mae Sanchez Santiago and Frank Martinez Santiago. Ronald was the brother of Lorraine S. Lawrence, Darren Santiago (Shantell), Wendy/Shelly S. Banks (Oliver Jr.), Keenya S. Fernandez (Marseyas Sr.), Darrell Patrick Burke (Demetrice), Javetta Burke, and the late Larry Santiago, Sr. (Yolanda), Patricia Santiago and Terrence Burke. He was the grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 1 and the devoted friend of Herman Baxter. Family and friends, officers and members of the First Asia Baptist Church of Meraux, LA, Closer Walk Meeting the Need Ministry, Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center of Violet, LA and neighboring churches of St. Bernard, Orleans and Jefferson parishes, employees of St. Bernard Parish Government, Chalmette High School, Merakey ACT Team, McDonald's 19499 (Paris Road), and Local Union 130, are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Family Worship Center, 5816 East Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA. There will be a drive-by visitation on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home, 4917 E. Judge Perez Dr., Violet, LA and the day of the funeral from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Pastor Carlton Campbell, First Asia Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
