Doris P. Kelly, 87, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Rittenhouse Village, Muhlenberg Twp. She was the wife of William C. Kelly, who died on April 18, 2003. Born in Centre Twp., she was the daughter of the late Lester D. and Theodora E. (Schappell) Miller. Doris worked for twenty-two years for the Hamburg Broom Works, retiring in September 1995. She was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp. Doris enjoyed bingo, going to horse races on the weekend with her husband and also accompanying him to his trap shoots. Doris had a wonderful sense of humor and was easy to make laugh. Doris is survived by one son: Glenn A. Kelly, husband of Sharon A. Kelly, Spring Twp.; two grandsons: Ryan A. Kelly, husband of Alison; and Michael P. Kelly, husband of Kara; one step-granddaughter: Amanda Clark, wife of Michael; three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Nolan and Gwendolyn; and two step-great-grandchildren: Braden and Addison. She was predeceased by two sisters: Geraldine R. (Miller) McCabe and Darlene S. (Miller) Dondore. Services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
