Catherine N. "Katie" Quinton

<p>Catherine N. &ldquo;Katie&rdquo; Quinton, 91, of Peru, passed away at 10:39 P.M., Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Peru on January 15, 1930, the daughter of Francis and Esta Marie Winegardner Aspinwall. Katie married William Raymond Quinton in Lafayette, IN on March 5, 1949 and he survives. Katie was a 1948 graduate of Peru High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Katie was a homemaker and she and her husband, Ray, owned and operated the Blue Drug Store, a Peru landmark, from 1961 till their retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Republican Women of Miami County, a life member of Dukes Hospital Aux. and a former member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority and the Miami County Chapter of the Indianapolis Symphony. Surviving in addition to her husband, Ray, are sons Dr. Ronald R. Quinton and his wife Jonell of New Orleans, LA and Jeffrey Quinton and his wife Melanie of Rossville, IN; daughters, Dr. Sandra Kay Quinton and her husband Steve Healy of Bozeman, MT and Dr. Karla Marie Quinton of Centennial, CO; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Katie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Rose Hines. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Catherine N. Quinton, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Dave Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Miami County Helping Hands.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The church will be live streaming on you tube at First Presbyterian Church, Peru, IN.&nbsp; The family has requested that masks be worn.&nbsp;</p>
