<p>Betty Jean Busjahn</p> <p>(nee Miller)</p> <p>Age 94 of Morris, formerly of Rock Grove, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.</p> <p>Born January 1, 1927 in Oneco, Illinois, Betty was a daughter of Elery and Kathryn (nee Maher) Miller. She was raised and educated in Freeport, Illinois, graduated from Freeport High School, and married the late Harold V. Busjahn on December 23, 1946. Betty was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her garden with her family and neighbors. She always put her family first and took great pride in raising her children, leaving behind precious memories and a legacy to be carried on by her children and grandchildren.</p> <p>Survivors include her two children: Carol (Fred) Kieslar of Mazon and Henry (Genalee) Busjahn of Micanopy, Florida; ten grandchildren: Laura (Chris) McNary, Jennifer Conway (fiancé Jonathan Sharp), Steven Kieslar (fiancé Angela Whitfield), Grace (Jeff) Bloodsworth, Carl Busjahn, Kristen (Michael) Keim, Glorie (Caleb) Redmond, Veritie (Daniel) Roueche, Valerie (Daniel) LeBlanc, and Hank Busjahn; seventeen great grandchildren: Evan, Elisabeth, Hannah, Katrina, Michelle, Benjamin, Peter, Samuel, Timothy, David, Levi, Abel, Sarah, Jared, Caleb, Luke, and Lyla; one brother and three sisters: Donna Scofield and Doris (Gary) Keith, both of Freeport, Illinois, Arlene (Dale) Giesel of Bloomington, Illinois, and Bob (the late Vicky) Miller of Iowa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, on December 31, 2003, and one sister: Joyce Ross.</p> <p>The family will receive friends Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens - Chapel of Peace, 2514 Illinois Route 26, in Freeport, Illinois, from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service, 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Roy Backus officiating.</p> <p>Family and friends are encouraged to sign the online guest book, upload photographs, and share Betty's memorial page by logging onto: www.ReevesFuneral.com</p> <p>Funeral services and arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Morris (815) 942-2500.</p>Obituary
