Sandra L. Minor

<p>Sandra L. Minor died July 22, 2021 of metastatic liver cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side.&nbsp; Sandra (San) was born to John F. and Leona Bryan on February 27, 1938 in Scottsbluff, NE.&nbsp; Most of her precollege years were in Scotia, NE.&nbsp; She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1960 with a BFA in Interior Design.&nbsp; She married James L. (Jim) Minor June 8, 1959.&nbsp; She was a loving mother and wife, adoptive mother and a foster mother to babies.&nbsp; She loved her Lord Jesus, taught the Bethel Series and women&rsquo;s Bible studies and was active in many church activities.&nbsp; She had an adventuresome spirit. She traveled the world with her husband or other family members.&nbsp; She camped throughout the state of Wisconsin where she raised her family.&nbsp; After her kids were grown, she worked as an independent contractor leading activities in assisted living homes.&nbsp; After moving to Salida, CO the first of 2000, she continued camping, and added 4-wheeling and hiking in the mountains.&nbsp; She was an author, braille transcriber, book compiler, weaver, cyclist, rosemaller, genealogist and teacher.&nbsp; She had a passion for photography; especially taking pictures of and identifying wild flowers.&nbsp; She enjoyed playing games, her electronic woodwind, and working puzzles with her husband.&nbsp; Her faith in God gave her strength to survive three bouts of cancer and overcome the challenges of bipolar illness.&nbsp; She is survived by her husband, Jim; two daughters, Sherry (Tom) Van Haren, and Julie Minor; two sons, J. Alan (Haruko) and Scott (Meryl) Minor; two grandchildren, Kyle Van Haren (Jamie) and Sydney Minor; two great grandsons, Zachary and Tristan Van Haren; and her sister, RaeJean Stillman.</p> <p>Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at First Presbyterian, 7 Poncha Blvd. in Salida, CO.</p> <p>Online condolences may be offered at www.lewisandglenn.com</p>
