Sandra L. Minor
<p>Sandra L. Minor died July 22, 2021 of metastatic liver cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Sandra (San) was born to John F. and Leona Bryan on February 27, 1938 in Scottsbluff, NE. Most of her precollege years were in Scotia, NE. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1960 with a BFA in Interior Design. She married James L. (Jim) Minor June 8, 1959. She was a loving mother and wife, adoptive mother and a foster mother to babies. She loved her Lord Jesus, taught the Bethel Series and women’s Bible studies and was active in many church activities. She had an adventuresome spirit. She traveled the world with her husband or other family members. She camped throughout the state of Wisconsin where she raised her family. After her kids were grown, she worked as an independent contractor leading activities in assisted living homes. After moving to Salida, CO the first of 2000, she continued camping, and added 4-wheeling and hiking in the mountains. She was an author, braille transcriber, book compiler, weaver, cyclist, rosemaller, genealogist and teacher. She had a passion for photography; especially taking pictures of and identifying wild flowers. She enjoyed playing games, her electronic woodwind, and working puzzles with her husband. Her faith in God gave her strength to survive three bouts of cancer and overcome the challenges of bipolar illness. She is survived by her husband, Jim; two daughters, Sherry (Tom) Van Haren, and Julie Minor; two sons, J. Alan (Haruko) and Scott (Meryl) Minor; two grandchildren, Kyle Van Haren (Jamie) and Sydney Minor; two great grandsons, Zachary and Tristan Van Haren; and her sister, RaeJean Stillman.</p> <p>Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at First Presbyterian, 7 Poncha Blvd. in Salida, CO.</p> <p>Online condolences may be offered at www.lewisandglenn.com</p>Obituary
