Wilma "Willie" Kay Smith, 76, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Wichita. Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Willie was born in North Platte, NE on November 15, 1944, to Dalma (Moser) and Vorse Smith. In 1963 she graduated from MHS and in 1969 from Chadron State College. She  was the track, softball, and bowling coach at Chadron State College. Willie later worked as an engineering clerk at Amtec Industries from 1990 until 2018. She is survived by: nieces, Devin Addison of Wheatland, WY, Vinca Williams (Basil) of Grand Junction, CO, Valerie Guerra of Grand Junction, CO, Shree Castaneda (Daniel) of Scottsbluff, NE;  close family friends, Wendy Stamback and husband Brad, Kelli Sharp, and Sherri Heron and husband Steve, Devon, Lily, Billy, Tanner, Codie, Mason, and Kaci; numerous great nieces and nephews as well as well as numerous great great nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ednamae Kissel; great nephew, Jarren Addison; many close extended family and close friends. Memorial donations to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation 733 Third Ave., Suite 510 New York, NY 10017.
