Chlorisea “Clorice” Thomisee Breland, 93, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Clorice was born on January 5, 1928, to Joseph and Louise Louvina Thomisee. Mrs. Breland was preceded in death by her husband Chief Billy Ray “Bill” Breland; her parents, Joseph James and Louise Louvina Thomisee; brother, William Henry, James Alvin and Charles David Thomisee; one sister, Ina Marvine Crow; two sons, Connie Ray Barnett and Thomas Raymond Turner, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Marbeth Richmond, Pinky “Cooney” Jenkins, Azalea Maupin and Bobbie Lindsay; children, Terry Turner (Jan), Carolyn Gray (Alan), Rita Wiedeman (Keith); grandchildren, Stephanie Barrineau, Erika Gray, Paul G. Turner, Joey Turner, Heather Turner; eight great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Clorice was a member of the Lea Joyner United Methodist Church, a charter member of The Women of the Moose, VFW, AM Vets and the Friends Forever Club. The visitation will begin at 1:30 P.M. and service will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
