Theresa Joan Minetti Obituary

     Theresa Joan Minetti, 97, of Linesville, passed away peacefully at Rolling Fields on Thursday, July 22, 2021, to be with the Lord.

     She was born April 10, 1924, to Cecelia and Jasper Shelatz.  She was one of nine children, Kathryn, Ann, Mary, an infant Mary, John, Steve, Frank and Tom Shelatz. 

     Theresa married Charles Minetti in 1943 in Conneautville.  He preceded her in death in 2006.  They were married for 62 years. 

     She graduated from North Shenango High School in 1942, where she played on the women’s basketball team and played violin in the orchestra.  During World War II she helped the cause by working at the Keystone Ordinance as a flake operator.  She worked over the years at Hotel Conneaut during its heyday and Days Inn until she retired.  Her and her husband owned and operated Minetti Ashland of Linesville and Minetti Catering.  Theresa grew up during the depression and never wanted for anything but her health.  She was a very giving soul.  She loved to roller skate and dance with her husband.  Theresa loved gardening and her flowers.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; daughter, Barbara Carter; son, William Minetti; and grandson, Todd Niemann.           

     She leaves behind her son, Paul Minetti and his wife, Sherrie; her son, Jack Minetti and partner, Gene Taormina; son-in-law, Roderick Carter; daughter-in-law, Judi Minetti; her special niece, Joanne Shellito, whom she helped raise; 4 grandchildren, Greg Niemann (Maggie), Jenna Miller (William), Chase Minetti (Krista), and Caitlin Davidson (Paul); 7 great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

     She was a lifelong member of St. Philip Catholic Church and VFW women’s auxiliary. 

     Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville

     Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday at St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.

     Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future donations to thank the staff at Rolling Fields for the loving care they provided to Theresa.
