Sammy Ray Gann age 66 of Winchester passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born on June 17, 1955 to the late John Thomas and Willie Mae (Baker) Gann. Sammy was currently employed at Skip’s Grill, and he also was a mechanic and nurseryman. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching westerns. He will be remembered by his family for being a devoted uncle and great uncle, as well as a hard working man. In addition to his parents, Sammy was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Gann; sister, Peggy Garner; and brother, James Gann. He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Wayne) Marshall of Winchester; nieces, Amy and Amanda; nephews, Timothy, Justin, and Casey; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
