BETTY LOUISE GRANDISON

Betty Louise Grandison, age 93, of Uhrichsville, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at her residence, O., following a lengthy illness. 

                                     

Born on January 14, 1928 in Wainwright, Betty is the daughter of the late Allen and Alta (Lorenz) Parker.

 

In 1945, Betty graduated from New Philadelphia High School.  She was employed as a cashier at Gooding’s IGA and a housekeeper at Twin City Hospital.  Betty also volunteered at the Coffee Bar at Twin City Hospital.  She enjoyed bowling, going out to eat and donating her time at Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member.

 

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dale Grandison, who passed away December 12, 1999; and her son Robert A. Grandison, who passed away February 24, 2021 and four sisters and one brother.

 

Betty is survived by her daughter Brenda J. Halter; grandchildren Phil Grandison, Missy (Shawn) Ciekanski, Courtney (Don Wright) Halter, Cody (Jessica) Halter, Brett Grandison, Cory (Kym Cline) Halter and Ashley (Shane) Fiester; great grandchildren Jonathan Grandison, McKenzie Edwards, Logan Murphy, Taylor Grandison, Cayden Ciekanski, Kyden Fiester and Elliot Halter; daughter-in-law Kelly Grandison; special niece Linda Cromley; special friend Bob Milligan and longtime friend Audrey Rectanus.

 

Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1p.m., on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Aaron Linard officiating.

 

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the funeral home.

 

Betty was most kind, caring and loving and certainly special to all who knew her.

 

The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregivers from Community Hospice, Heidi, Megan and Tamara.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Ave., SW, New Philadelphia, O., 44663.
