Stephen "Steve" Wiley Hauser

Stephen "Steve" Wiley Hauser went to live with his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2021. Steve was the son of the late Irene and Tom Hauser. He graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1966. He attended NCSU, served in the US Navy for four years including a tour in Vietnam, then attended WCU and Salem College after serving his country. Steve’s hobbies included word puzzles, golf, hunting, and fishing. He was a devout member of Christ Reformed Baptist Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Hauser, and a granddaughter, Sadie Grace Hauser. Surviving are Steve’s wife of 47 years, Elaine Hauser; sons, Matt and wife Mary Clark Hauser, and Daniel and wife Jessica Hauser; five grandchildren who were the love of his life, Madison, Audrey, Thomas, Ella, and William Hauser; a sister, Susan and husband Jim Horton; brother, Chuck Hauser; two brothers-in-law, Kemp and wife Marilynn Baker, and Jeff and wife Lisa Baker; mother-in-law, Dorothy Baker; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Salem Funeral Home on Reynolda Road on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. A visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Becks Baptist Church Cemetery with full military rites. Memorials may be made to Christ Reformed Baptist Fellowship, 7911 Ketner Farm Rd., Rural Hall, NC 27045, or the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Attn: Development, 875 N.
