Louis Don Dunkin of Moore was born on November 13th, 1952, to Dora Mae and John Edwin Dunkin.  He grew up in the Wynewood area.  On Sunday, July 18, 2021, Louis passed away at the age of 68 years old.  Louis worked for Hayes Brothers Painting for 32 years, first as a painter, before moving up to foreman.  He retired in 2019.  Although he had his immediate family, he also had a work family that was important to him.  Most important were his cats, Sam and George.  Louis loved to be around family and friends.  He loved telling stories and jokes.  He always made people laugh.  He also enjoyed tormenting his sister.  When he was a young boy, he loved going fishing with Grandpa Clay.

Louis was preceded in death by his dad, John Edwin Dunkin and his mom, Dora Mae Dunkin.  He is survived by his sister, Jeanette Jernigan and her husband, Jack K. Cribbs of Oklahoma City; nephew, Harold Cottrell of Wynewood, Oklahoma; niece, Shawntina Cotrell of Oklahoma City; one great nephew; four great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and two great-great nieces.

Viewing is at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 23rd, 2021, Cottrell Mission Holiness on July 23rd, 2021.
