Private Celebration of Life services for Larry Walter Baxley will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Colfax, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana. Larry Walter Baxley, age 74, of Colfax, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Monday, July 19, 2021 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mr. Baxley is preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Walter Baxley; great grandson, Kason Burch; and his siblings, Melvin Baxley, Horace Baxley, Leonard Baxley, William H. Baxley, Ira Baxley Sr., and Stella Baxley. He is survived by his daughters, Janice Baxley Hosey (Lamar), and Eva Baxley Davidson (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Sasha Caldwell (James), Devin Burch, Emily Hatfield, and Abigail Hatfield; his great grandchildren, Gracelynn Batte, Levi Batte, Emrie Batte, Jyntsen Burch, Mayven Burch, and Joseph Burch; his best friend, Cleo Futrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A proud US Army Vietnam Veteran, Larry was a loving father and grandfather. He was a true patriot who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
