Melissa Kay Hamilton

Melissa Kay Burden Hamilton, age 54, passed away Wednesday, July 21st at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born in Harrison County on December 19, 1966 to Georgia Davis Burden Turner and the late Ronnie Dean Burden Sr.

She served our community as part of the Brown’s Ambulance family as an EMT for 10+ years.

Besides her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Ray Burden; one grandfather, Luther Burden; two grandmothers, Mary Helen Davis Sanders, and Goldie Burden.

Besides her mother she is survived by her stepfather, Carroll Turner; her husband, Ricky Lee Hamilton; three daughters, Kendra Barker, Haley Barker, Amber Joseph; two brothers, Ronnie Burden Jr., Mark (Holly) Burden; one stepsister, Jennifer King; two stepbrothers, Jerry Turner, Rodney Turner; her mother-in-law, Norma Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Porter, Charlene Hamilton; eight aunts and uncles, Richard & Amy Davis, Ruth Ann & Harlan Reynolds, Rebecca Currant, Lena & David MaHarney, Barbara Brierly and many beloved nieces and nephews and several special cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 26th at 11:00 AM at Ware Funeral Home with a visitation conducted on Sunday, July 25th from 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery. View and sign the guest book www.warefuneralhome.com.
