Rufus Wooten

Rufus Wooten, age 71, of Bulan, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was a member of the Church of God A Worldwide Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Rufus was born on April 08,1950 in Perry County, KY, to the late late Bill Wooten and the late Elizabeth Sawyer Wooten. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother: Richard Wooten. He is survived by his wife: Glenna Griffith Wooten. Two Daughters: Crystal Michelle Burgess (Alan) of Hazard, KY & Monica Barker (Gary) of Bulan, KY; One Son: Michael Wooten of Richmond, KY; Five Sisters: Rhoda Miller of Dwarf, KY, Ruby Riley (Dana) of Indiana, Violet Humphrey (Gayle) of Sadieville, KY, Vickie Beverly (Daryl) of Dwarf, KY & Vaughda Wooten of Bulan, KY; Four Brothers: Remus Wooten (Helen) of Bulan, KY, Rick Wooten (Sharlene) of Hazard, KY, Ronald Wooten of Bulan, KY & Randy Wooten (Debbie) of Knott County, KY; Six Grandchildren: Whitney Adams, Dylan Adams, Cassidy Adams, Jacob Adams, Avery Barker & Aaron Barker; Three Great-Grandchildren: Aubrey Montgomery, Ashton Montgomery & Loreleai Adams; Sister-In-Law: Kathy Wooten of Sadieville, KY; Close Friend: Scotty Potter of Glasgow, KY and A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 25, 2021. Funeral service will be at Maggard's Mtn. View Chapel at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 25, 2021 with Eric Evans officiating. Interment will be at Wooten Family Cemetery, Tribbey, KY.
