Rose (Dechaine) Barlow

Rose (Dechaine) Barlow, 96, of Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Jeanne Jugan Residence while in the care of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Rose was the wife of the late Walter H. Barlow and the late Raymond C. Campos. Born in Fall River, MA, she was daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Dechaine of Fall River. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Valley Falls and the Jeanne Jugan Chapel. Rose worked for many years in the cafeteria of the Owens-Corning Corporation (Fiberglass) and retired as a line supervisor at Peterson-Puritan Aerosol in Cumberland. She leaves a daughter Carol A. Barlow of Hallowell, Maine, a son, Walter H. Barlow Jr. of Riverside, her brother Albert Dechaine of Freetown, Indiana, a sister-in-law Ruth (Barlow) Verhulst of Woonsocket, three granddaughters, four grandsons, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Teresa Campos of Central Falls, Laura Draper of Sebastian, Florida, and Edward Dechaine of Fall River. Rose’s daughter and son would like to thank the Sisters and Caregivers at the Little sisters of the Poor for their kindness, friendship and dedication to their mother and to Beacon Hospice for the care they provided as her life came to an end. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 25, afternoon from 2pm until 5pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 26, at 11am in St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI 02860.
